Sketches of the lives of Lieut. John Munroe, constable, selectman, pound-keeper, and landowner, of Lexington, Mass., and Capt. Edmund Munroe, Lexington minuteman who fought with General Washington and died at the Battle of Monmouth; and materials relating to Lexington men fighting in King Phillip's War, King George's War, and French and Indian War; early boyhood in Lexington in the 19th century; people living around the Lexington Common (1760-1770); the Muzzy family farm before the Revolution; some old Lexington estates, including account of the Raymond family; and some houses on the main road of Lexington and the north side of the Concord road.
